LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to Northern Vermont University-Lyndon 64-54 on Saturday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest.
The Hornets took a two-point advantage after the first quarter, but the Terriers took control in the second session, building a 30-19 advantage with less than three minutes remaining in the half. The Hornets responded by scoring the last seven points of the half, capped by a three-pointer at the buzzer that narrowed Thomas lead to 30-26 at the half.
Lyndon regained the lead with a layup to make it 40-39 with 4:20 to go in the third quarter. The teams then traded scores, with the Hornets taking a 44-42 lead into the final period. After more back-and-forth early in the fourth, Lyndon pulled away to take the 64-54 victory.
Thomas hosts UMaine-Presque Isle in conference play on Wednesday, January 16 at 7:30 PM.
