MILTON, Mass. – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell 47-32 in a non-conference game at Curry College on Saturday afternoon.
The Colonels latched down on defense early, surrendering just two points and taking a 15-2 lead after one. The Terriers narrowed the lead in the second but went into the half down 29-12.
The teams traded baskets in a low-scoring third period, with Curry holding an 8-7 edge to take a 39-19 lead into the fourth. Thomas closed the gap in the final frame, outscoring Curry 13-10, but the Colonels moved on with the 47-32 win.
Nikki Bradstreet (Topsham, Maine) led Thomas off the bench with nine points and five rebounds. Molly Horton (Brownington, Vt.) chipped in seven points and two steals, while Molly Carroll (Southwest Harbor, Maine) added six points and eight rebounds.
Thomas will host Colby-Sawyer on Saturday, January 5 at 2:00 PM at Larry Mahaney Gym.
