WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to Colby College 72-43 on Tuesday evening in a non-conference game at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
The Mules took an early 9-2 lead over Thomas in the first two minutes, then extended the lead to 20-6 with 2:30 remaining in the period. Colby finished the period with a 25-10 lead heading into the second. The visitors continued to hold control in the second, outscoring the Terriers 21-8 in the period to take a 46-18 lead into halftime.
After Colby outscored Thomas 11-6 in the third, the Terriers held a 19-15 advantage in the fourth, but the Mules came away with the 72-43 win.
Addie Brinkman (Farmington, Maine) notched her first career double-double with an 11 point, 11 rebound performance. Molly Horton (Brownington, Vt.) chipped in nine for the Terriers, while Molly Carroll (Southwest Harbor, Maine) added eight.
The Terriers will begin their North Atlantic Conference slate on Friday, November 30 at home against SUNY Canton at 7:30 PM at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
