STANDISH, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to Saint Joseph's (Maine) 87-50 in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
The Monks jumped out to an early lead, holding a 16-3 advantage with four minutes remaining in the first and went on to a 23-7 cushion after one. St. Joe's added to their lead in the second and went into the half up 43-21. After being outscored 22-10 in the third, the Terriers kept pace in the fourth, with the Monks holding a narrow 22-19 margin to take the 87-50 win.
Karli Stubbs (Auburn, Maine) notched eight points, six boards, and two steals for the Terriers. Malorie Weaver (Palermo, Maine) pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds and scored seven points, while Addie Brinkman (Farmington, Maine) tallied eight points and four rebounds.
The Terriers will host the Thomas Tip-Off on Friday, November 16 against the College of St. Joseph (Vt.) at 5:30 PM.
