Terriers Defeated by Colby-Sawyer

New London, N.H. – The Thomas women's basketball team dropped a North Atlantic Conference match-up Friday evening to Colby-Sawyer College by a final score of 90-34.  Katie McAllister scored 14 points for the Terriers in the defeat.

Colby-Sawyer got out to an early lead, going up by double-digits on Thomas just halfway through the opening frame and never looking back.  The Chargers used 11 first-half points from Lexi Iannone to take a 42-22 lead into the halftime break.  McAllister had 10 of her 14 points in the first half for the Terriers, while Ashleigh Gagne scored nine for the Red and Black.

The second half was more Colby-Sawyer, as Sarah Donnelly scored 10 points off the bench for the Chargers while they held Thomas to just 12 points in the half.  Tess McClenahan scored four points and grabbed four rebounds in the half for the Terriers.  Olivia Brown finished the game with 11 rebounds for the Terriers.

For Colby-Sawyer, Iannone finished with 17 points, while three other Chargers reached double-digits for scoring.  The victory was head coach George Martin's 400th career victory.

The Terriers will be back in action tomorrow, January 31, when they travel to take on New England College.  Game time is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
