WATERVILLE, ME – The Thomas women's basketball team earned their first North Atlantic Conference victory of the season Friday night, as they cruised past Green Mountain College by a final score of 75-24. Katie McAllister posted 27 points and 14 rebounds, while Jordan Agger-Barnes finished with 10 points and 17 rebounds in the victory.
The Terriers got off to a fast start, going up by a score of 20-3 just midway through the first half after a 16-0 run. McAllister scored 19 of her game-high 27 in the first, while Tess McClenahan pulled down eight rebounds for the Terriers.
Coming out of the locker room with a 34-13 lead, the Terriers continued to pull away, outscoring the Eagles 41-11 in the second half. Ashleigh Gagne scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half, while Agger-Barnes grabbed 10 rebounds for Thomas.
Other standouts for Thomas in the game included McClenahan, who recorded eight points, seven assists, and 13 rebounds, and Sarah Pepin, who added nine points and three rebounds off the bench.
For Green Mountain, Keelin Banks had 13 points while Haley Provost added 12 rebounds in the losing effort.
Thomas will be back in action tomorrow, January 24, when they take on Castleton State College at 1 PM.
