Women's Basketball Defeated By Johnson State

JOHNSON, VT - The Thomas women's basketball team was unable to find their shooting stroke in a 76-46 defeat against Johnson State College on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers shot just 25.5% from the field in the game.

Junior Katie McAllister was the lone player to tally double-digits as she notched 12 points, while freshman Jordan Agger-Barnes picked up nine points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Johnson had three players in double figure scoring as Sarah Voorhis led all scorers with a game-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds and one block, assist and steal. Kasey DeGreenia and Brittany Robertson tallied 12 and 11 points respectively.

Johnson scored the first five points of the game before Thomas got on the board. The Badgers lead the entire way and would jump out ahead of the Badgers by as many as 19 points before they closed out the opening stanza ahead 38-19.

Johnson came back from the break hot, going on a 14-5 run in the first six minutes to put the chances of a comeback away. Both teams traded baskets back and forth the rest of the way. Thomas struggled on the glass, getting outrebounded 50-33 on the afternoon.

Thomas will have a week off before playing host to Maine-Presque Isle on the December 13 at 1pm.
