WATERVILLE, ME – The Thomas women's basketball team was defeated by Colby College by a final score of 92-28 this evening from Larry Mahaney Gymnasium. Julie Suaudeau led the Terriers in rebounds, grabbing 10 boards on the night.
Colby (5-0) came out firing, outscoring the Terriers (0-4) 47-9 in the first half on 18 of 34 shooting, including 10 of 19 from three-point range. Marykate Caverly led the Mules in the first, scoring 16 points and tallying three assists. For Thomas, Suaudeau grabbed five rebounds in the first half while Ashleigh Gagne scored four points.
The second half brought more offense from the Terriers but the range of Colby proved to be too much. Colby outscored Thomas 45-19 in the second half, powered by 14 points Carylanne Wolfington. Gagne again led the Red and Black in scoring, putting home five more points to give her a total of nine for the game.
Thomas will be back in action next Tuesday, December 2 against Husson University with the tip-off set for 5:30pm.
