Women's Basketball Topped By Salem State in Day One of Tournament

WATERVILLE, ME - The Thomas women's basketball team could get their shots to fall as they were defeated 71-25 by Salem State on day one of the two-day tip-off tournament. 

The Terriers (0-2) were led by junior Katie McAllister with six points and eight rebounds. Freshman Julie Suaudeau also chipped in with four points and five rebounds, as did sophomore Sarah Pepin.

Thomas made just 10 field goals on the night and were held without a made three pointer. 

The Vikings (1-1) were able attempt 69 shots to 46 for Thomas as the Terriers turned it over 34 times.

Salem State was led by Rachael Carter, who put in a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jess Kuzmickas and Maggie Reilly also scored in double figures with 15 and 12, respectively. 

The Terriers will close out the tournament on Saturday at 1pm when they take on Lasell College in the consolation game.
