Martel Crowned as NCAA Statistic Champion

Indianapolis, Ind. – Thomas senior guard Kellie Martel earned NCAA honors as she was announced as the 2011 NCAA Division III Statistical Champion for Three-Point Field Goals Made Per Game. Martel drained 92 three pointers in 23 games this year, averaging  4.0 threes per game.

Martel edged out (3) Christopher Newport's Chelsie Schweers (3.9 3FG ) to earn the title for the 2010-2011 season. Schweers took the title for the 2009-2010 season win 3.9 threes per game; Martel finished second with 3.7.
