GORHAM, Maine – The Thomas College track and field team wrapped up their 2017-18 indoor season at the Maine Open on Friday and Saturday hosted by the University of Southern Maine.
The Terriers posted strong finishes on the day including a first place finish in the men's 55 hurdles with freshman Shammah Gahomera at 8.06. Baramee Janla posted a second place run in the men's 55 dash with a 6.79 in the finals followed by teammate Devon Davis in fifth. Davis also had a strong showing in the 200 meter with a fourth place run. Freshman Shaynen Schofield pulled off a top-five in the 400 meter with a 53.29.
On the women's side, Jordan Fostun finished fourth in the women's triple jump at 9.62 while also finishing third in the high jump. Teammate Lillian Friars competed in the weight throw with a seventh place throw.
The Terriers look to build off a strong indoor season as they enter the outdoor schedule.
