PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Thomas College track and field squad competed at the Panther Invitational on Saturday afternoon hosted by Plymouth State University. The men's team finished sixth overall in team scores while the women ended the day with an eighth place finish.
In men's track events, the Terriers received a first place finish from Jarrod Ottman as he won the men's 5000 meter run. Zenawi Bowen ran to a tenth place finish out of 26 competitors in the 60 meter run followed by teammate Baramee Janla. Thomas also saw a solid top-five run from Devon Davis in the 200 meter dash in a field of 17 runners. Shammah Gahomera also finished sixth in the 400 meter followed by a third place finish by the 4x200 relay squad.
On the women's side, Jordan Fostun finished third overall in the triple jump and tenth in the high jump. Lillian Friars finished 20th and 12th in the shot put and weight throw while Marleen Ramirez ran to a 16th place run in the 800 meters.
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday, January 27 as they compete at Bowdoin College.
