FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Thomas College club track and field team took part in the Eric Loeschner Track and Field Invitational on Saturday at Fitchburg State.
The Terriers competed with over 30 schools throughout New England that compete at the NCAA Division III level.
On the men's side, the Terriers scored to a 13th place finish out of 25 schools. Freshman Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H.) had a big race in the Men's 3000 Steeplechase as he ran to a fourth place finish out of 17 runners with a time of 10:22.95. Billy Chambers (Waterville, Maine) had a solid run in the Men's 800 as he finished 28th out of 56 competitors at 2:13.51. In throwing events, Troy Worster (Mount Vernon, Maine) threw to 14th place out of 32 competitors in Men's Shot Put at 11.49 meters.
In women's action, Megan Cousins (Clinton, Maine) finished 23rd in the shot put (8.57m) and 33rd in discus (15.97m). Haylee Patterson (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) came in 21st for hammer throw (19.16m) and 18th in javelin at 18.85 meters.
The Terriers will complete their outdoor season on Sunday, April 30 at Brown University.
