CAMBRIDGE, MA – The Thomas College club track and field team took part in the USATF New England Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday afternoon at Harvard.
Freshman Gabrielle Martineau (New Gloucester, Maine / Gray-New Gloucester) had a big day for the Terriers as she finished fifth of 29 runners in the Women's 60 meters with a time of 8.06. Martineau also placed tenth of 42 competitors in the Women's 200 meters with a time of 27.20.
On the men's side, freshman Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H. / Merrimack) ran to a 12th place finish out of 59 runners in the Men's Mile Run. Ottman finished with a time of 4:31.24, 31 seconds behind first place. Brandon Monroe (Berkeley Heights, N.J. / Governor Livingston) finished in fifth place in the Men's High Jump at 1.83m. Troy Worster (Mount Vernon, Maine / Maranacook) rounded out the day with a 12th place finish in the Men's Shot Put with a throw at 10.64m.
The Terriers will move forward to a spring outdoor season to round out the 2016-17 year.
