WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its softball weekly awards and junior Sydney LeBourveau (Jericho, Vt.) has been named Player of the Week while freshman Katlyn Coulter (Jefferson, N.H.) earned Rookie of the Week honors.
LeBourveau helped lead the Terriers to a 5-1 record on the week. At the plate, the junior finished 12-for-20 (.600), with three doubles, one triple, two homeruns, nine RBI, nine scored runs and 23 total bases. She hit safely in 5-of-6 games along with three multi-hit games. In a 6-2 win over Husson, LeBourveau went 2-for-4 with three RBI, including a two-run homerun to break open a tie game. She also hit for the cycle in four at-bats in a win against Johnson. LeBourveau also contributed on the mound going 2-1 with a 1.71 ERA. She picked up two wins against Johnson and Lyndon with her lone loss at Husson in 6.1 innings, allowing just two earned runs.
Coulter contributed strong performances in the circle and at the plate this week as the Terriers went 5-1 in conference action. On the mound, the freshman went 3-0 in 13 innings, allowing eight hits, and one earned run for a 0.54 ERA. At the dish, the rookie recorded seven hits with four doubles including three multi-hit games to go along with six RBI and six scored runs. In a 6-2 win over Husson, Coulter went 2-for-4 with two RBI while picking up a complete game win on the mound and surrendering one earned run.
The Terriers will host crosstown rival Colby College tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
