WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its weekly awards and freshman Katlyn Coulter (Jefferson, N.H.) has been named NAC Softball Pitcher and Rookie of the Week.
Coulter led the Terriers at the plate and on the mound as her team finished 4-1 on the week. The freshman batted 8-for-16 (.500) with four doubles, eight RBI, and one homerun. She hit safely in 5-of-6 games including two three-hit games, a .529 on base percentage, and .938 slugging percentage. In the circle, Coulter went 2-0 in 16 innings of work allowing three earned runs for a 1.31 ERA. In a 6-2 win over UNE, she went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish with all six RBI, including a grand slam. She also took the win on the mound, holding a Nor'easters team to just two runs. In game one of a conference doubleheader with UMF, Coulter batted 3-for-4, including a pair of doubles and an RBI. The rookie pitched nine innings in game two, allowing five hits and one earned run while striking out five.
The Terriers will travel to Husson on Wednesday, April 18 for a doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m.
