    WHITINGHAM, Vt. --- The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced its all-conference team and major awards for the 2016 softball season Wednesday afternoon and Thomas College was well-represented, claiming four all-conference honors and three of five major awards. Junior Sonja Morse was named NAC Pitcher of the Year, freshman shortstop Lexi Colpack was named NAC Rookie of the Year and head coach Terry Parlin was named NAC Coach of the Year.

    WATERVILLE, Maine --- Thomas College junior pitcher Sonja Morse struck out a combined 20 batters and, for the second time this season, threw complete games in both halves of a doubleheader as the Terriers swept Johnson State College, 12-1 and 5-1, on Sunday. Freshman center fielder Katie Taylor was 4-for-6 at the plate with a double, a triple, four RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base.

The Terriers (1-3) picked up their first win of the season with an 8-2 over Worcester State to open the day, then committed six errors to let a three-run lead slip away in an 11-6 loss to D'Youville (N.Y.).

    CLERMONT, Fla. --- The Thomas College softball team opened its season Monday with a pair of losses at The Spring Games at the Legends Way Ballfields at the National Training Center. The Terriers (0-2) fell to Oswego State, 3-1, in the season opener before falling to perennial NCAA Division III power St. Thomas (Minn.), 16-2, in five innings in the late game.
