Softball Selected Fourth in NAC Preseason Poll

WATERVILLE, ME - The Thomas softball team has been selected fourth in the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) softball preseason poll. The Terriers received a total of 27 points.

Castleton was selected as the top team in the preseason poll, as the Spartans received a total of 45 points, including four of the seven first place votes.

Husson was voted second with 44 points and claimed the other three first place votes, while the University of Maine at Farmington came in third with 28 points to round out the top three.

Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league's head softball coaches.

Throughout the next five weeks all seven NAC softball teams will kick off their quest for the 2015 conference title. The top four teams in the 2015 regular-season conference standings will qualify for the conference tournament, which gets underway Friday, May 1 and will continue through Sunday, May 3.
