Terriers Unable to Capture a Win on Final Day

CLERMONT, FL- The Terriers (1-11) softball squad ended their Florida spring trip on Monday, falling to Wesleyan 10-1, then to Trinity 9-2.


Thomas was only able to pick up one hit, as the Cardinals starter shut down the Terrier bats. Lindsay Hoopingarner (Richmond, Maine) picked up the lone hit, while McKayla Gasita (Milford, Maine) was credited with the RBI on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the fourth.

Taylor Bergeron (Lyman, Maine) pitched the complete seven innings, giving up three earned runs while suffering the loss.


The Terriers were shunned down from getting their second victory of the season in the final game in Florida, falling to Trinity 9-2.

Thomas will return home and back to the diamond on March 27 with a doubleheader versus non-conference opponent Bates.
