Thomas Falls in Day Five of Florida Trip

CLERMONT, FL- Thomas (1-9) was unable to come away with a win in day five of their six day Florida swing. In the first contest of the day the Terriers were bested by Plymouth State 5-2, and then dropped the second game 15-0 to Washington & Jefferson.

GAME ONE

The Terriers were able to tie the game 2-2 in the third inning on a fielder's choice by Phyllicia Jordan (Waltham, Maine), but Plymouth had a big three run fifth inning to secure the victory.

Alyssa Eugley (Sidney, Maine) came away with two hits for Thomas, while McKayla Gastia (Milford, Maine) suffered the loss, pitching four innings with four earned runs.

GAME TWO

In the second game of the day Thomas was unable to get the bats going against Washington & Jefferson. The Terriers two hits came from Eugley and Molly Woodward (Burlington, Maine), and Faith Robinson (Auburn, N.H.) was charged with the loss.

Thomas will finish their southern swing tomorrow with contests versus Wesleyan at 9am and Trinity at 1pm.
