  • Husson Tops Terriers Twice to take NAC Championship

    Bangor, Maine – The Thomas College softball team got two shots to take the North Atlantic Conference Championship Sunday afternoon, but the Eagles of Husson University played spoiler as they swept the Terriers to claim their fourth strait NAC Championship. The Eagles took game one 6-0 handing the Terriers their first loss in the tournament, and clinch the title in game two defeating Thomas 9-1.

    Bangor, Maine – The fourth seeded Terriers College continued to spoil the party for the top seeds in the North Atlantic Conference Softball Tournament, earning a 3-1 win over second-seeded Castleton State College Saturday afternoon at O’Keefe Field.
  • Terriers Upset Number One Seeded Husson on Day One of NAC Championship

    Bangor, Maine – The Thomas College softball team pulled of a 8-4 upset over the Eagles of Husson University in the first matchup of the North Atlantic Conference Tournament on the Eagles home turf at O’Keefe Field. With the win the Terriers advance to play Castleton State who defeated New England College 6-3, Saturday afternoon. Thomas pitcher Sara Pavento was touched up in the first, but settled down on her way to a complete game win. Husson was able to mount a total of four runs on eight hits and four walks with a single strikeout.
  • Terriers Cruise by Maine Maritime Academy

    Waterville, Maine—The Thomas College softball team picked up a North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal final win, Wednesday afternoon, as they defeated the Mariners of Maine Maritime 6-3. With the win the Terriers advance to play in the Semi-Final game of the conference playoffs. Samantha Moore was the top player on the afternoon for the Terriers going three for four and scoring two runs. Autumn Jones led the Mariners going a perfect three for three on the afternoon.

    Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College softball team picked up a set of North Atlantic Conference wins Tuesday afternoon downing the Hornets of Lyndon College 5-1 in in game one and outlasted the Hornets 9-4 in the night cap.

    Poultney, VT – Thomas College senior Ali Kriegel went 6-for-7 and knocked in five runs leading Thomas College to a doubleheader sweep of Green Mountain College in a North Atlantic Conference women’s softball matchup.

    Castleton, Vt. – The Thomas College softball dropped a pair of North Atlantic Conference games Saturday afternoon to Castleton State in a regular season doubleheader. In game on the Terriers fell 2-1 and in the nightcap the Spartans shut out the Terriers 5-0.
  • Colby Takes Down Thomas 3-2, in Extra Innings

    Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College softball team dropped a 3-2 loss to crosstown rival Colby in extra innings in a non-conference matchup with the Mules on Wednesday afternoon. Colby’s Carolyn Bennett drove in the eventual game winning run in the top of the eighth off of a single she drove down the left field line, bringing home Lindsey Peterson. Thomas first year McKayla Gastia provided the Terriers with both runs as she had two RBI’s for the home team.
  • Thomas Cruises by Maine Maritime Academy

    Waterville, Maine - The Thomas College softball team picked up two North Atlantic Conference wins Tuesday afternoon as they defeated the Mariners of Maine Maritime 15-3 and 10-1 in a doubleheader. With the wins the Terriers improve to 8-17-1 (5-4-1 NAC) on the season while the visiting Mariners fall to 9-11 (2-6 NAC)
  • Softball Splits with NEC

    Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College softball team split a doubleheader with the Pilgrims of New England College in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon. The Pilgrims took game one 7-3 and the Terriers shut out NEC in game two 4-0, handing NEC their first NAC loss of the season.
  • Softball Drops One and Ties One to Johnson

    Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College softball team dropped a 5-1 decision in game one to the Badgers of Johnson State and tied with the Badgers in the night cap in North Atlantic Conference action Friday afternoon. After Friday’s games the Terriers fall to 5-15-1 (2-0-1 NAC) on the season, while the Badgers improve to 7-12-1 (1-0-1 NAC).

    Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College softball picked up two North Atlantic Conference wins Wednesday afternoon as they defeated the Beavers from the University of Maine at Farmington 7-6 and 5-3 in a doubleheader. With the win the Terriers improve to 5-15 (2-2 NAC) on the season while the visiting Beavers fall to 4-6 (2-2 NAC).
  • Softball Drops a Pair to Bowdoin

    Brunswick, Maine – The Thomas College softball team dropped a pair of games to the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College in a non-conference doubleheader Monday afternoon. The Polar Bears downed the Terriers 8-0 in six innings in game one, and finished with a 9-1 win in the nightcap.

    Bangor, Maine – The Thomas College softball team was swept by Husson, 4-2 and 8-0 in their first North Atlantic Conference matchup of the season. With the losses the Terriers fall to 3-13 (0-2 NAC) on the season, while the Eagles improve to 9-5 (2-0 NAC).

    Clermont, Fla. – The Thomas College softball team dropped a pair of games Thursday morning. In game one the Terriers fell 12-4 in six innings of action to St. Catherine. In game two the Terriers dropped a 7-0 loss to William Paterson.

    Clermont, Fla. – The Thomas College softball team dropped their first two games of their 2012 Florida trip their afternoon falling to Babson 10-0 before dropping a 10-1 lost to Elmhurst in their second game. With the losses the Terriers fall to 2-2 (0-0 NAC) on the young season.

  • Thomas Shuts Out UMPI in Season Opener

    Orono, Maine- The Thomas College Terriers’ softball team recorded two non-conference wins 12-0 and 6-0 against the University of Maine Presque Isle Owls Saturday night at Mahaney Dome on the Campus of University of Maine Orono to open their 2012 season. Terriers’ pitching was the story of the night as senior Sara Pavento picked up the win in the first game throwing four innings only allowing two hits while striking out four. Junior pitcher Kelsey Crowe got the win in the second game throwing seven innings only allowing one hit and striking out eleven. Desiree Smith was the top performer for the Owls on the night recording two of their three hits.
