Waterville, Maine – Three members of the Thomas College Softball team have been named to the North Atlantic Conference All Conference Team. Senior center fielder Mallorie Blakney has been named to the First Team All-Conference along with first year short stop Lindsay Fry. Sophomore catcher Samantha Moore has been named to the Second Team All-Conference, and Terriers Head Coach Terry Parlin picked up honors as he was named NAC Softball Coach of the Year.
Blakney batted .411 for sixth overall in the NAC, with 37 hits, 10 RBI's, and a conference leading four triples. Blakney completed the season with a fielding percentage of .895 and four errors. Blakney was also named to the NAC Second Team All-Conference in February for her performance on the basketball court.
First Year Lindsay Fry batted .389, with 35 hits, 13 RBI's, four doubles, and one homerun. The first year also stole 11 bases for the Terriers. In the field Fry gave up 10 errors and competed the 2011 season with a fielding percentage of .917.
Moore batted .349, with 29 hits, 27 RBI's, four double, two triples, and two homeruns. Defensively Moore racked up 81 put outs and a fielding percentage of .977.
Coach Parlin has been named NAC Softball Coach of the Year after a very impressive third season as the Terriers coach. The 2011 Terriers went 19-15, 12-2 in the NAC and earned a two seed in the NAC Softball Tournament.
