AUGUSTA, Maine – The Thomas College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the UMaine-Augusta Invitational on Saturday, with the men's team winning the meet while the women came in third.
Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H.) won his second race of the year, finishing in 17:03.5, 25 seconds ahead of second place. Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine) and Alister Piccini (Winsow, Maine) followed in third and fourth, while Harrison Mosher (China, Maine) and Dillon Sullivan (New Gloucester, Maine) rounded out the scoring five for Thomas in ninth and eleventh.
For the women, Olivia Wallace (Jonesboro, Maine) was Thomas' top finisher, coming in 12th place. She was followed by Natalie Corrigan(Oakland, Maine) in 13th and Brooklyn LeClair (Waterville, Maine) in 16th. Cassidy Pinkham (Poland, Maine) and J'auna James(Pembroke, Bermuda) finished of the top five for the Terriers, coming in 19th and 20th.
The Terriers will run in the Maine State Invitational at Bowdoin on Saturday, September 29.
