JOHNSON, VT – The Thomas College men's cross country team finished fourth out of the 11 teams that competed at the Johnson State Invitational on Saturday morning.
Freshman Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, NH / Merrimack) crossed the finish line third overall and first for the Terriers with a time of 27:25. Ottman finished 19 seconds behind winner Robbie Hollis of the University of Maine at Farmington and one second behind second place finisher Lukas Patrizio of Clarkson University.
Senior Nick Kopf (Hampden, Maine / Hampden Academy) ran a strong race for the Terriers finishing 19th with a time of 29:05 and Tito Naranja (Fort Kent, Maine / Fort Kent) finished just behind Kopf in 28th (30:07). Freshman Billy Chambers (Waterville, Maine / Waterville) ran to a 38th place finish (30:42) while senior Aron MacLean (Fairfield, Maine / Lawrence) ran to a 42nd place finish in his first event of 2016 (31:01).
Freshman Sam Traynor (North Bllerica, Mass. / Tewksbury) finished 46th (31:21), Evan Boudreau 53rd (Lamoine, Maine / Ellsworth) (32:33), Richie Drown 58th (Biddeford, Maine / Biddeford) (33:03), Forrest Labbe 65th (Sidney, Maine / Messalonskee) (33:49), Dillon Sullivan 72nd (New Gloucester, Maine / Gray-New Gloucester ) (35:08), Josh Devou (Levant, Maine / Hermon) 90th (38:47), Jordan Gibson 99th (Marietta, Georgia / Alan C. Pope) (40:55), Cole Barney 103rd (Barre, Vt. / Northfield) (43:20), and Ryan Hablitz 104th (Melrose, Mass. / Melrose) (46:11).
The Terriers will have two weeks off to prepare for their next event at the Colby Invitational on Saturday, October 1.
