MTEN: Terriers Picked to Finish First in NAC Preseason Poll

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its preseason poll for men's tennis and Thomas College was picked to finish first in a vote conducted by the league's coaches.

Thomas head coach Rob Disch begins his third year leading the defending champion Terriers (14-4, 4-0 NAC). Disch brings back a strong group from last year's championship team, including 2019 NAC Player of the Year Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine), 2019 NAC Rookie of the Year Yontz Sutton (Hamilton, Bermuda), All-Conference singles and doubles player Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine), and Jose Afonso (Tenerife, Spain). A crop of newcomers will vie for spots in the lineup, including Liam Gould (Freeport, Maine), Dustin Allard (Monmouth, Maine), Sam Falla (Palermo, Maine) and Sam Johnson (Fort Kent, Maine). With a strong core and key newcomers, the Terriers prepare to once again compete for the NAC East and NEAC Championships.
