MTEN: Doubles Sweep Pushes Terriers to Win Over Nazareth

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Thomas College men's tennis team earned their first win of the season with a 5-4 victory over Nazareth College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Terriers earned an early 3-0 advantage, sweeping doubles. The team of Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) and Kaleb Payson (Lamoine, Maine) took first doubles 8-4, while Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) and Christo Naranja (Fort Kent, Maine) took No. 2 doubles 8-6. John Farrington (Springfield, Maine) and Jose Alfonso (Tenerife, Spain) finished the doubles sweep with a 9-7 victory.

Chasse earned his second-straight two-point match, taking No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-1, while Waterhouse earned the match-winning point with a 6-4, 6-1 win in No. 3 singles.
