Men's Tennis Silences Lyndon in Regular Season Finale, 9-0

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's tennis swept Lyndon State College, 9-0, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Sunday afternoon at the Harold Alfond Athletic Center.

The Terriers complete the 2018 regular season at 11-4 (4-1 NAC) while the Hornets fall to 0-10 (0-5 NAC).

In doubles action, Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) and Zachary Disch defeated Jake LaCerda and Neal Mulligan on the one line, 8-1.  Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine) and Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) took the No. 2 flight over Korey Steele and Gerald Fleming, 8-0.  On the three line, Kaleb Payson (Lamoine, Maine) and Christo Naranja (Fort Kent, Maine) shutout Muktar Abdullahi and Raymond Monroe, 8-0.

The Terriers took all six victories in singles action with Chasse slipping past LaCerda, 6-0, 6-0 in ones.  In No 2 singles, Munn downed Mulligan, 6-0, 6-1 while Disch won 6-0, 6-0 over Steele.  In fours Waterhouse also silenced Fleming 6-0, 6-0 followed by a 6-0, 6-1 win for Payson over Abdullahi.  Naranja rounded out singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Monroe.

The Terriers seeding for the North Atlantic Conference tournament will be released tomorrow.
