WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's tennis team ended a seven-game winning streak in a 9-0 loss to Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday afternoon at the Harold Alfond Athletic Center.
The Terriers drop to 10-4 (3-1 NAC) on the year while the Chargers improve to 4-10 (3-0 NAC).
In doubles action, Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) and Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine) fell 8-4 on the number one line. Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine) and Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) came up just short in the No. 2 flight, 8-6. In the third slot, Kaleb Payson (Lamoine, Maine) and Christo Naranja (Fort Kent, Maine) dropped an 8-4 match.
The Chargers finished the sweep throughout singles play. Waterhouse fell short in number fours, 6-4, 6-4 while Payson dropped the five spot after winning the first set 6-4, 5-7, 1-0.
The Terriers will look to rebound Sunday, April 22 as they host Lyndon.
