Terriers Complete Spring Trip in Win over Nazareth, 6-3

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Thomas College men's tennis team wrapped up their spring trip with a 6-3 victory over Nazareth College on Friday afternoon.

The Terriers finish 2-2 on the trip to open the season while the Golden Flyers remain winless at 0-8.

Thomas took two-of-three in doubles action as Jared Waterhouse (Dayton, Maine) and Ross Munn (Brunswick, Maine) won 8-6 on the No. 2 line followed by an easy 8-1 victory in the No. 3 flight with Kaleb Payson (Lamoine, Maine) and Christo Naranja (Fort Kent, Maine).

In singles play, the Terriers fell on the number one and two line in tie breakers with Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) and Munn who each won their first set.  Zachary Disch (Waterville, Maine) topped Louis Rogers in number three singles 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) while Waterhouse took fours with a 6-0, 7-5 win.  Payson held on 6-3, 6-3 over Tyler Luong and Naranja took care of Kellen Boyles 6-1, 6-2.

The Terriers will be back in action on Wednesday, March 21 as they host Southern Maine at 4:00 p.m. in the Alfond Athletic Center.
