WATERVILLE, ME – Thomas College (4-4, 3-1 NAC) defeated Castleton State College (5-3, 2-1 NAC) 9-3 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's tennis match on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers took two of three in doubles, then picked up four victories in singles play in route to their third straight conference victory on the season.
In doubles plat Tyler Small and Eric Morin defeated Adam McCaffrey 8-3, while the Spartans picked up a point in #2 doubles when Kevin Rosset and Kyle Martin took down Malcolm Marshall and Caleb Mora 8-4. The Red and Black took the final doubles match 8-3 by Jonte Roussel and Federico Trujillo.
In singles play Small defeated Glaser 6-0 and 6-1, while Morin took down McCaffery 6-2, 6-4 in the two spot. Marshall and Trujillo counted for the other Terrier points, winning their matches 6-4, 7-5 and 6-1 respectively.
Thomas will return to the courts tomorrow in their final regular season home match of the year versus Lyndon State at 1:00 PM.
