
Lyndon Center, Vt. — Thomas upped its overall record to 4-6 and 3-2 in the North Atlantic Conference with a 5-4 win over Lyndon. The loss drops the Hornets to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the NAC.
In doubles play, Eric Morin and Tom Bird defeated Mike Howard and John Corey 8-3 in the first flight and the Lyndon tandem of Tyler Schofield and Daniel Weiner beat Malcolm Neville and Matt Bolstridge 8-6 in second doubles.
Lyndon's Armando D'Leon and Sean McKay topped Gershom Renee and Jesse Peasley 8-3 in the third flight to close out doubles play.
In No. 1 singles action, Morin downed Howard 6-4, 6-1 and Neville earned a hard-fought 2-6, 6-0, 7-5 win over Schofield in No. 2 singles. In third flight singles, D'Leon defeated Bird 6-2, 7-5 before Renee defeated Corey 1-6, 6-1 and 6-4 in the fourth flight.
Weiner beat Bolstridge 6-3, 6-0 and Peaslee turned back Lyndon's Wildens Fils 6-4, 6-3 in fifth and sixth flight singles respectively.
The Terriers will finish their regular season on Saturday against Lyndon at home.
