MSOC: Placide and LaBrie Win NAC Weekly Awards

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its weekly awards for men's soccer and two Thomas College student-athletes have been recognized. Woodlin Placide (Les Cayes, Haiti) was named Player of the Week while Eric LaBrie (Yarmouth, Maine) was named Rookie of the Week.

Placide scored five goals and assisted on two more for a 12-point week as the Terriers earned two conference wins. He scored a hat trick in a 12-0 win against NVU-Lyndon on Saturday where he put all five of his shots on goal. The senior added two more goals in an 8-1 victory against Johnson on Sunday. Placide jumpstarted the Thomas offense in both games, scoring the first goal of each contest within the first four minutes of play.

LaBrie scored four goals and had an assist for nine points as the Terriers went 2-0 in conference play over the weekend. The freshman scored his first career hat trick and fired off nine shots on Saturday as the Terriers took a 12-0 victory over NVU-Lyndon. He added a goal and an assist while taking nine more shots in an 8-1 win against NVU-Johnson on Sunday.

The Terriers will host Bowdoin on Wednesday, October 16 at 7:30 PM on Smith Field.
