MSOC: Terriers Push Past UMPI 5-0 in NAC Contest

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's soccer team improved to 2-0-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with a 5-0 win over UMaine-Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon.

Zenawi Bowen (St. George's, Bermuda) scored his first two goals of the season in the first 23 minutes to push Thomas ahead 2-0. Princiel Kunieki (Portland, Maine) scored his first of the year off a feed from Drew Parsons (Farmington, Maine) to make it 3-0 at the half.

Jack Gallagher (Camden, Maine) also scored his first of the year in the 79th minute to put Thomas up 4-0. Hayden Elwell (Readfield, Maine) notched his first as a Terrier in the 84th to give Thomas the 5-0 victory.

Jonathan LeClair (Belmont, N.H.) earned the win in goal for Thomas, making one save. John Villanueva (Gray, Maine) and Nick Chandler (Wells, Maine) also saw action in net in the shutout.

Thomas will host Bates in a non-conference game on Sunday, September 22 at 3:00 PM.
