MSOC: Tony Flye Named Associate Head Coach

WATERVILLE, Maine – Thomas College Head Men's Soccer Coach Chris Parsons has announced the hiring of Tony Flye as Associate Head Men's Soccer Coach. Coach Flye returns to Thomas for his second stint on the Terriers bench, having served as Assistant Coach from 2013-2016.

"I am very excited for our men's soccer program as Tony has been a tremendous positive influence and is truly dedicated to Thomas College and the student-athletes," said Parsons.

Flye helped lead the Terriers to four consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Game appearances in his first stop at Thomas, winning the NAC Title in 2013 and 2015.

Coach Flye was Director of the Maranakick Soccer Camp in Readfield, Maine from 1991-2013. He served as Head Boys Soccer Coach at Maranacook Middle School from 2001-2012 and Maranacook High School from 1991-2000, earning KVAC Coach of the Year honors in 1998 and 1999. He also had stops at Skowhegan High School and Lee Academy to begin his coaching career.

Flye graduated from UMaine-Presque Isle in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. He was a four-year member of the men's soccer team at UMPI, earning NCC All-Conference honors in 1977.
