Lukas Bohman Nominated for NAC Man of the Year Award

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Recent graduate Lukas Bohman (Gnesta, Sweden / Tessin) has been selected as Thomas College's nominee for the 2016 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Man of the Year Award.

Both the NAC Man and Woman of the Year awards are modeled after the NCAA's Woman of the Year program, which honors graduating student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.

A four-year men's soccer standout student-athlete at Thomas, Bohman helped lead the Terriers to three NAC Championship Titles and was named a team captain his junior and senior seasons. He is a two-time NAC First Team All-Conference and All-Tournament Team selection, a NSCAA College Division All-East Region Honorable Mention honoree, he participated in the NEISL Senior All-Star Game and was named to the NAC Sportsmanship Team. He competed in 74 matches as a Terrier, while making 73 starts, and was able to tally five points in his career as a defender. The Marketing Management major also minored in International Business and was named to the NAC All-Academic Team. Bohman served as a men's soccer representative on the Thomas Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

The other nominees for the NAC Man of the Year Award are: Amir Pasic, Castleton soccer; David Ayotte, Colby-Sawyer cross country and track & field; Joshua Wynne, UMaine-Farmington cross country and track & field; Stephen Berenyi, Husson soccer; Timothy LaRoche, Lyndon cross country; Christopher Gilman, Maine Maritime soccer; and Skyler Saunders, New England College lacrosse.

Both the NAC Man and Woman of the Year award winners will be announced in late July, and will be honored on their campuses during the 2016-17 academic year.
