Men's Soccer Recap

Waterville, Maine—The Thomas College Men's soccer team finished their 2011 season on October 29th falling to Maine Maritime Academy 1-0 in double overtime at home of the North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal.  This was the last game for Seniors Christopher Harney, James Helma, and Jacob Jandreau.

The Terriers placed fourth in the conference finishing with an overall record of 10-7 (5-4 NAC).

Sophomore forward Michael Hand was named the North Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Year. Hand scored 13 goals overall and led the conference with 10. Hand was also named First Team All-Conference, where he is joined with fellow sophomore Matt Ford who was named Second Team All-Conference at midfield. Ford completed the 2011 season tied for second in the NAC with seven assists.

Goalkeeper Mikkail Crockwell recorded 83 saves and a 774% save percentage. Crockwell is now participating in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier for his country Bermuda.

Hand, Ford, and Crockwell all received NAC player of the week honors during the year and Blake Boswell and Khamisi Lightbourne both achieve NAC rookie of the week honors.
