WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team fell to Dean College 16-5 on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game at Bernatchez Field.
The Bulldogs blanked Thomas in the first quarter, scoring five times to go up 5-0. The Terriers got on the board early in the second with Matt Craig (Waterville, Maine) scoring his first of the year. Dean scored another five unanswered before Colby Nadeau (Winslow, Maine) scored his first career goal off a feed from Max Irons (Limerick, Maine) to make it 10-2 at the half.
After another scoreless third quarter for Thomas where they allowed five for Dean, the Terriers won the fourth quarter with three goals to the Bulldog's one. Mathew Crisco (North Haven, Conn.) scored the first two, with Jack Gallagher (Camden, Maine) assisting on the first, before Johnathan Wilcox (Palmyra, Maine) scored his first of the year to make it a 16-5 final.
Patrick Buxton (Portland, Maine) made 17 stops in goal for the Terriers.
Thomas will travel to the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday, March 10 for a non-conference game at 4:00 PM.
