WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team fell in their home opener to Northern Vermont University-Lyndon 12-3 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Tuesday afternoon.
The Hornets scored twice in the first, before adding four more in the second to go into the half up 6-0. Lyndon scored four more straight in the third, before Thomas got on the board with a goal by Jonathan Wilcox (Palmyra, Maine) assisted by Samuel Haver (Norridgewock, Maine) with a minute to go in the period. Lyndon added one more to go up 11-1 going into the fourth. The Terriers scored twice in the final period, with goals by Jack Gallagher (Camden, Maine) and Wilcox, while Lyndon added one more to take the 12-3 win.
Aaron Florence took the win for Lyndon in goal, while Devon Westhaver (Damariscotta, Maine) was tagged with the loss.
Thomas hosts another NAC game against NVU-Johnson on Saturday, March 23 at 1:00 PM.
