FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference road matchup at Dean College, 15-2, on Wednesday afternoon at Grant Field.
The Terriers skid moves to three games at 2-5 while the Bulldogs improve to 7-3 on the year.
Dean jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first quarter, led by two markers from Anthony Trasacco. The Bulldogs added another two early goals in the second frame followed by the Terriers' first goal at the 2:43 mark from Johnathan Wilcox (Palmyra, Maine) to make it a 7-1 game at the half.
The Bulldogs continued to extend their advantage throughout the second half as they outscored the Terriers 8-1, including three more goals by Trasacco. Colby Blondin (Colchester, Vt.) added the second Thomas goal late in the third quarter.
Trasacco ended with six goals and two assists on 15 shots for Dean while Brody Fredericks netted three goals and three assists. James Lovely, Colin Hinrichs, and Conor Rooney all chipped in with two goals each.
Wilcox and Blondin scored the lone goals in the effort for Thomas while Blondin held a team-high 12 shots and three ground balls.
Dillon Poignant made ten saves in the win for the Bulldogs while Connor Lamberton (Shohola, Pa.) made 15 stops for the Terriers.
Thomas will hit the road on Saturday, April 14 as they travel to Castleton.
