Men’s Lax Picked Fifth

Whitingham, Vt. – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team has been picked fifth in the North Atlantic Conference Preseason Coach's Poll as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The Terriers picked up 38 votes in the poll to finish in fifth out of the nine teams in the NAC. Defending champ Castleton State grabbed the top spot with 72 points, while conference newcomer New England College grabbed second place with 69 points despite having the most first place votes with six. Maine Maritime Academy finished in third and Husson grabbed the fourth place spot.

The 2011 Thomas men's lacrosse team finished fourth in the NAC and picked up their first ever post season with a 14-3 win over the University of Maine at Farmington in the NAC first round. The Terriers 2011 season was ended by a 29-3 loss to the eventual champ Castleton State.

The Terriers will kick off the 2012 campaign on March 3rd at Colby College when they take on the Pride of Regis College (Mass.). The Terriers first NAC game of the season will take place on March 31st against the Mariners of MMA.
