Castleton, Vt. – The number seven seeded Thomas College men’s lacrosse team 2012 season come to an end on Friday night in the North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals as they fell 24-2, to number two seeded Castleton State.

Men’s Lax Closes Regular Season with a Loss to Husson
Bangor, Maine – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team struggled to gain any offensive power as they fell 17-1, to the Eagles of Husson in their final North Atlantic Conference regular season matchup of the year Wednesday night. The Eagles completely dominated the game as they out-shot the Terriers 48-to-13 and wining the ground ball war picking up 50 ground balls to the Terriers 11.

Davis Named Men’s Lax Rookie of the Week
Whitingham, Vt. – Thomas College freshman midfielder Matt Davis has been named North Atlantic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week. Davis totaled seven points in a 1-1 week for the Terriers.

Hornets hold off a Terriers Comeback
Lyndon Center, Vt. – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse dropped a heartbreaking 12-10 loss to the Hornets of Lyndon College in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon. Thomas’ Gunnar Shelton netted a hat trick in the loss.Lyndon (3-5, 3-4 NAC) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before the Terriers (4-9, 3-4 NAC) got on the board with two man up goals from junior Sean Machin. The Terriers were able to get out of the first quarter with a 3-2 lead after Doug Tibbets netted his first goal of the season.

Terriers Steal One from UMF in OT
Farmington, Maine – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team rallied from a five goal deficit to pick up a 10-9 North Atlantic Conference overtime win over the University of Maine at Farmington. Freshman Matt Davis lifted the Terriers to victory in the extra session with a bouncer the hit the net with 2:52 left on the clock.

NEC Rolls Past Terriers
Henniker, N.H. – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team fell 28-1 to the Pilgrims of New England College in a North Atlantic Conference match up. The Terriers lone goal was scored by freshman Matt Davis off of an assist from Gunnar Shelton during a man up advantage.

Machin Lifts Men’s Lax to an OT Win
Johnson, Vt. – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team rallied from a two goal deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime against North Atlantic Conference foe Johnson State. In the extra session junior Sean Machin scored the game winner after connecting with Matt Davis for the 12-11 win.

Terriers Win Big on Senior Day
Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team picked up a 17-4 North Atlantic Conference win over the Eagles of Green Mountain College sending three seniors out with a victory in their final performance on Alumni Field. Sophomore Erik Tiner II tied a school record with a seven goal performance in the win. Green Mountain’s Forrest Teutsch led the way for the Eagles with a two goal performance.

Spartans Tackle Terriers 23-2
Waterville, Maine—The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team dropped a tough 23-2 loss to the Spartans of Castleton State College in a North Atlantic Conference game Friday afternoon at Alumni Field on the campus of Thomas College. Castleton’s Alex Green had a game high six goals and three assists on the afternoon. Sean Machin was the Terriers top performer scoring one of the team’s total two goals. With the loss the Terriers drop their third game in a row, while the visiting Spartans pick up their fourth win of the season and improve to 3-0 in NAC play.

Terriers get Shutout by MMA
Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team struggled to find any sort of rhythm as they were shutout by the Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy, Saturday afternoon on Alumni Field. With the loss the Terriers drop their second game in a row and open North Atlantic Conference play with a loss, while the visiting Mariners pick up their first win of the season and improve to 1-1 in NAC play.

SUNY Canton Takes Down Thomas 19-4
Waterville, Maine - The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team recorded a 19-4 non-conference loss to SUNY Canton Kangaroos Wednesday night at Bill Alfond field on the campus of Colby College. Canton came out strong scoring six goals on 20 shots in the first period and never looked back. Kangaroos’ attackman Alex Tibbles led all scorers with an eight goal performance. Thomas midfielder Gunnar Shelton held the team high two goals and an assist.

Whitingham, Vt. – Thomas College junior attackman Sean Machin has been named North Atlantic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Terriers Pick up First Win of the Season
Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Junior attackmen Sean Machin netted six goals and dished out one assist to help the Terriers pick up a 14-4 win over the Wildcats of Wheelock College for their first win of the season. With the win the Terriers end a four game skid and improve to 1-4 (0-0 NAC), while the Wildcats fall to 0-3 on the season.

Mt. St. Vincent Outlasts Thomas
Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 14-4 loss to the Dolphins of Mt. St. Vincent Wednesday night at Bill Alfond field on the campus of Colby College. Junior goalkeeper Jesse Morkeski recorded 22 saves for the Terriers in the loss. Dan Cohen recorded the game high points total with two goals and two assists for Mt. St. Vincent.

Mass. Maritime Sails Past Thomas
Waterville, Maine - The Thomas College Terriers men’s lacrosse team recorded a non-conference 12-4 loss to the Mass. Maritime Buccaneers Saturday afternoon at Bill Alfond field on the campus of Colby College. Mass. Maritime came out strong scoring six unanswered goals and never surrendering the lead. Buccaneers attackmen Daniel Sibbald led all scorers with a hat trick. Thomas midfielder Gunnar Shelton led the team with a two goal performance.

Portland, Maine – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team fell 16-0 on the road to the Monks of St. Joseph’s (Maine) in a non-conference matchup Tuesday afternoon. With the loss the Terriers fall to 0-2 (0-0 NAC), while the home standing Monks improve to 1-1.

Weston, Mass. – The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 10-3 loss to the Pride of Regis College on the road Friday night in their non-conference season opener. Freshman Matt Davis led the Terriers in scoring tallying one goal and one assist.
