WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 90-65 win over UMaine-Fort Kent on Saturday in the Charlie Ryan Classic at Larry Mahaney Gym.
Thomas slowly built a lead through the first ten minutes, going up 19-6 on a Jordan Goodson (Orlando, Fla.) three-pointer midway through the half. The Terriers continued to stack their lead through the half, going into the intermission up 41-21.
Thomas started the second half on a 19-11 run that put the ahead 60-32 seven minutes in. The Terriers held their distance through the rest of the game and moved on with the 90-65 win.
Zach Mackinnon (Kennebunk, Maine) led the way for Thomas with 21 points, shooting 8-13 from the field and 5-8 from three-point range. Lovegeurson Fleurine (Fort Pierce, Fla.) picked up his second-straight double-double, picking up 16 points and 12 rebounds. Goodson and Evan Arsenault (Berlin, N.H.) each chipped in 11 points each for the Terriers.
Thomas will travel to Division I Dartmouth College for an exhibition game on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:00 PM.
