GOLF: Terriers to Host NAC Championship; Voted Fifth in Pre-Championship Poll

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has released its pre-championship poll for men's golf and Thomas College was picked to finish fifth in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. Thomas will host the NAC Championship on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 at Waterville Country Club.

The Terriers received 42 points in the pre-championship poll for the fifth-place spot. Five-time defending champion Husson was picked to finish first, earning 75 points and five first-place votes.

Thomas head coach Don Roberts leads his team into their second NAC Championship appearance. Freshman Kent Johnson (Carmel, Maine) was the low man in three tournaments this season, and fellow freshman Aaron Pion (Waterville, Maine) earned the first NAC Men's Golf Rookie of the Week honors for Thomas since 2007. Seniors Zachary Gagne (Augusta, Maine) and Caleb Roy (Lyman, Maine), and junior Evan Parsons (Woolwich, Maine) round out the Thomas squad. The Terriers hope to use their home course advantage in improving on last year's finish.
