GOLF: 2018 NAC Championship Preview

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has released the Pre-Championship Poll for the NAC Men's Golf Championship and Thomas College was picked to finished tied for 8th in a vote conducted by the league's coaches.

The Terriers received 57 points, tying them with SUNY Canton for the eighth-place spot. Four-time defending champion Husson was picked to finish first, collecting 120 points and ten first place votes.

Thomas Head Coach Don Roberts leads the Terriers into their first NAC Championship in their first season at the varsity level. The Terriers have been led by sophomore Zachary Gagne (Augusta, Maine) this season, while sophomore Caleb Roy (Lyman, Maine) and junior Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) have also been fixtures at the top of the Thomas lineup. The Terriers will look to push to the top of the leaderboard as they find their place among conference competition.

The 2018 NAC Golf Championship will take place at the Country Club of Vermont in Waterbury on October 13 and 14. The team champion will move on to represent the conference in the 2018-19 NCAA Division III National Championship this spring.
