Chasse Sinks Ace as Terriers Place Fifth at Mariner Invitational

AUGUSTA, Maine – Sophomore Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) sunk a hole in one on the second hole as the Terriers finished fifth at the Mariner Invitational on Thursday morning at the Augusta Country Club.

Eight Maine schools participated in the event as the University of Southern Maine took the team win with a 310.  They were followed by the University of Maine at Farmington (313), Husson University (317), Maine Maritime Academy (325), and Thomas (335).

The Terriers were led by Zachary Gagne (Augusta, Maine) as he finished tied for 8th with a 79 on the day.  He was followed by Matt Jolicoeur (Oakland, Maine) who tied for 14th at 80, Chasse tied for 24th with an 86, Caleb Roy (Lyman, Maine) in 28th at 90, and Evan Parsons (Woolwich, Maine) tied for 30th with a 93.

Chasse's hole in one was the first ace in Mariner Invitational history.

The Terriers will round out their season on Saturday, October 14th in the Colby Invitational.
