OAKLAND, Maine – The Thomas College club golf team finished fifth out of nine teams at the UMF Invitational held on Wednesday at the Waterville Country Club.
The host team, the University of Maine at Farmington, took first place overall (300), the University of Southern Maine in second (311), UNE finished third (318), Saint Joseph's (ME) in fourth (323), and the Terriers in fifth (328).
The Terriers were led by Zachary Gagne (Augusta, Maine) as his 76 on the day was good for a sixth place finish. Evan Parsons (Woolwich, Maine) followed tied for 21st with an 83 while Caleb Roy (Lyman, Maine) ended tied for 26th just a stroke behind. Matt Jolicoeur (Oakland, Maine) and Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) were both right behind their teammates, shooting an 85 and 87 respectively.
The Terriers will have a few days off until Saturday, September 16 as they take part in Day 1 of the Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association Tournament at the Martindale Country Club.
