OAKLAND, ME – The Thomas College club golf team finished seventh at the UMF Invitational on Wednesday morning at the Waterville Country Club.
The Monks from Saint Joseph's won the event with a score of 299 while the host, University of Maine at Farmington finished second with 300. Southern Maine rounded out the top three with a score of 303 and the Terriers finished the event at 371.
Senior Cameron Jackman (Saco, ME / Thornton Academy) played a great round for the Terriers, finishing 13th individually with a 78 on the scorecard. Jackman was eight strokes off eventual winner Tom Murray of Southern Maine who finished with a 70. Bo Curtis (Brooks, ME / Mt. View) ended his day with a 94, Isaac Salisbury (Freeport, ME / Freeport) 97, Bryce Lamontagne (Saco, ME / Thornton Academy) 102, and Jacob Perkins (Vershire, VT/ Rivendell) 104.
The Terriers next event will be the two-day Maine Intercollegiate Championship on September 17 and 18, at the Springbrook Golf Club in Leeds, Maine.
