FH: All Five Seniors Score as Terriers Take 15-0 Senior Day Win

WATERVILLE, Maine – All five Thomas seniors scored a goal as the Thomas College field hockey team earned a 15-0 senior day victory over Dean on Saturday at Bernatchez Field.

Danita Storey (Cumberland, Maine) scored the first goal of the day for Thomas, then went on to score two more in the period for a first quarter hat trick. Krysta Porter (Unity, Maine) got her first of the year in the 6th minute, then Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) followed less than a minute later. Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) made it 6-0 after one with a goal in the final minutes.

Dezarae Parkhurst (Burrillville, R.I.) scored her first career goal in the 21st minute to make it 7-0. Sydney Plourde (Lisbon, Maine) added another to put the Terriers up 8-0 at the half.

Allie Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) scored in the 34th minute, before Britney Gregoire scored twice in 21 seconds, with both assists coming from Lindsey Gregoire, to make it 11-0. Kelci Faulkingham (Belfast, Maine) scored her ninth of the year in the 38th to put Thomas up 12-0 after three.

Allie Gregoire got her second goal of the game in the 50th minute to make the score 13-0. Leah Kruse (Norridgewock, Maine), who started the game in goal for Thomas, came on as a field player to score her first career goal on a diving tip to make it 14-0 in the 54th minute. Haley Thebarge (Smithfield, Maine) became the fifth Thomas senior to score when she capped the scoring with a goal in the 58th minute to make it 15-0.

Kruse earned her seventh win of the season, playing the first 17 minutes. MacKenzie Oberholzer (Hancock, Md.) played 21 minutes, before Alexis Bowman (Freedom, Maine) came on for the final 23.

Prior to the game, the five Thomas seniors were recognized for playing in the final regular season home game.

Thomas will conclude their New England Collegiate Conference schedule on Tuesday, October 29 when they travel to Husson for a 7:00 PM game.
