FH: Terriers Take NECC Win Over Elms

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Thomas College field hockey team earned a 4-1 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) victory at Elms College on Saturday.

The Terriers got on the board nine minutes into the first when Haley Thebarge (Smithfield, Maine) fed Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) for the 1-0 goal. Thebarge picked up another helper two minutes later, assisting on Britney Gregoire's (Kennebunk, Maine) goal that made it 2-0.

Danita Storey (Cumberland, Maine) got on the scoresheet in the 25th minute, scoring on a Kelci Faulkingham (Belfast, Maine) pass to make it 3-0 at the half.

Lindsey Gregoire scored her second of the game in the 41st minute with Britney Gregoire getting the assist.

The Blazers added a goal late to make it a 4-1 final score.

MacKenzie Oberholzer (Hancock, Md.) earned the win for Thomas, making three saves in the first half. Alexis Bowman (Freedom, Maine) made one save in net while working the second half.

Thomas will visit UMaine-Farmington on Tuesday, October 22 for a 3:00 PM NECC contest.
