FH: Terriers Get Overtime Win Over Colby-Sawyer, 2-1

NEW LONDON, N.H. – Kelci Faulkingham (Belfast, Maine) scored her second game-winning overtime goal in the last week to lift the Thomas College field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday afternoon.

Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) put Thomas on the board in the 19th minute, scoring her ninth goal of the year to make it 1-0. The Chargers evened it back up in the final minutes of the second when Sarah Morin scored off a feed from Julia Lanctot to tie it 1-1.

The 1-1 tie held through to the overtime period, where Faulkingham scored the game-winner off a penalty corner insert by Allie Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) to win it in the 66th minute.

MacKenzie Oberholzer (Hancock, Md.) earned the win in goal for Thomas, making six saves on seven shots on goal.

Thomas will visit Elms for a New England Collegiate Conference game on Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 AM.
